THE ASK
A private office needed to clean a suspended installation of 150–200 hand-blown glass orbs that had not been maintained in over seven years. The artwork hung 23 feet above the floor, directly above a delicate art surface, requiring careful planning and specialized access.
Each orb was valued between $450–$1,000, bringing the artwork’s value to more than $100,000. Several companies declined the project due to risk.
CHALLENGE
• 150–200 fragile glass orbs

• suspension wires could not be exposed to moisture

APPROACH
Bright Crystals spent two months preparing the project and sourced a specialized telescoping ladder system.
The floor was covered with layered protection before work began. Each orb was cleaned entirely by hand using damp cloth cleaning followed by dry polishing. Suspension wires were cleaned dry to prevent corrosion.
RESULTS

• 0 damage incidents
The installation was fully restored and once again became a centerpiece of the office interior.
